The IB World School in Kufstein is recognised as a private Catholic school and ever since its foundation it can count on the support of the diocese of Salzburg and the Land of Tyrol as its cooperation partners.

In strict compliance with all Corona regulations the governor of the Tyrol Günther Platter and the archbishop of Salzburg Dr. Franz Lackner gained a first-hand impression of the international educational offer in Kufstein.

They were welcomed by the representatives of the school´s governing body FH Kufstein Tirol-Privatstiftung, Dr. Herbert Marschitz and DDr. Herwig van Staa.

In the banquet hall the school’s leadership team, school principle Claudia Atzl and business manager Walter Weiskopf, presented the international learning and teaching offer of the IB World School, gave an overview of actual dates and facts and informed all attendees of the successful process of the opening of a lower secondary school starting from September 2021.

Franz Lackner and Günther Platter were delighted about the excellent development of the International School Kufstein Tirol and stressed the importance of a consistent high-quality English educational offer for both national and international families.
The actual Corona situation unfortunately did not allow the distinguished visitors to interact with the students or to visit the modern classrooms. It was agreed to make up for that when the appropriate opportunity arises.
