IB Graduation Ceremony: ISK Tirol celebrates its first graduates

The Kufstein-based IB World School can report good news

Supported by the Province of Tyrol and the City of Kufstein and founded in the public interest, ISK Tirol was the first private catholic school in Austria to hand the coveted school leaving certificates to the final year candidates.

During the festive ceremony, the "Graduation Ceremony 2019", Herbert Madl (Head of School) said goodbye to the first graduates of the ISK Tirol in the banquet hall and acknowledged their outstanding achievements over the past four years. The students graduate with the Austrian Zentralmatura as well as the internationally renowned and standardized International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma).

65% of the young people graduated with excellent or good results, a student holds her IB Diploma with the top score of 40 in her hands. All of them are well prepared for a successful career in Austria and abroad.

Ceremonial Addresses were given by Bgm. Alois Margreiter (Member of the Tyrolean Parliament, on behalf of LH Günther Platter), Dr. Werner Mayr and Dr. Thomas Plankensteiner, (Local Education Authority Tyrol), GR Birgit Obermüller, BEd, MA (City of Kufstein) as well as LH a.D. DDr. Herwig van Staa and Dr. Herbert Marschitz (FH Kufstein Tirol-Privatstiftung).

Korbinian Salvenmoser, final year candidate, delighted the guests with his "Valedictory address" and skillfully hosted the second part of the event. The ceremony was beautifully musically framed by the ISK-students.

At the ISK Tirol English is the common denominator of language diversity. The International School has developed extremely positively since its start in the school year 2015/16, the prerequisites have been created to continue this path successfully.
