#futurespirit – „future day“ of the catholic private schools in Salzburg
Young people start "Process for the future" in the archdiocese
On Thursday, March 22, 2018 the city of Salzburg was crowded with young people. About 3.000 students of catholic private schools from the archdiocese of Salzburg came to the city centre. Two years ago, Archbishop Dr. Franz Lackner asked the students to think about the future of the church and the faith. The young people heeded this call and presented their projects, ideas and hopes in the city center of Salzburg on this day. Also ISK-students of 5A and 7A took part in the event.
In front of many enthusiastic spectators and under the eyes of the initiator Archbishop Dr. Lackner they performed the song "We are the world" by Michael Jackson and the poem "The Violence" by Erich Fried several times on the Kapitelplatz. Afterwards the students were indulged with a healthy snack in the inner courtyard of St. Peter. The opportunity to visit the Faculty of Theology as part of a guided tour was frequently used by the young people.
The successful day was rounded off with a final, joint „celebration of the future“ in the cathedral of Salzburg under the direction of the archbishop, before we started the return journey to Kufstein.
