Good beats for a good cause – music connects
The two ISK-students Emma and Nik Strohmeyer organized a charity concert for children in Kenya. The entire proceeds will be donated to the "Welthungerhilfe".
Under the motto „Good beats for a good cause – music connects" an unique charity concert took place in the banquet hall of the ISK Tirol on May 23.
Placing their talents in the service of the good cause, professional musicians from a variety of backgrounds (including Mili Poblete, Andreas Frehde, Lothar Rösler, Chiara Krabichler, Polaris) offered a journey through different musical genres - from classical music to opera, from latin sounds to Rock. Among the artists there were also two ISK-students (Hannah Albrecht and Hannah Rabl).
There was something of interest for every taste. Accordingly, the spectators`willingness to donate was fortunately overwhelming.
The event was organized by two students of the International School Kufstein Tirol (Emma and Nik Strohmeyer) as part of their activities in the field of CAS - Creativity, Activity, Service:
"The entire proceeds of the event will be donated to children in Kenya who are not privileged to grow up in a highly developed country.
After a trip to this country that has completely changed our perspective on the situation there, we wanted to take the initiative and help wherever we can. Through "Welthungerhilfe", every cent donated goes directly to Kenya."
CAS is a core component of the international curriculum at ISK Tirol. The young people prove their special commitment through extracurricular activities and projects in the fields of art, sports and common benefit. CAS enables students to enhance their personal and interpersonal development by learning through experience.
