Enthusiastic spectators at the second "Kufstein English Theatre"
On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, there was a lot of laughing going on at this year's premiere of the "Kufstein English Theatre" – a project of the International School Kufstein Tirol. In front of about 150 enthusiastic spectators young stage talents demonstrated their skills in the banquet hall and performed William Shakespeare's magnificent comedy "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Wednesday morning, the play was again performed in front of about 250 pupils from schools from the region.
Both times the efforts of the 21-member ensemble formed around drama teacher Klaus Reitberger were appreciated by the audience with a thunderous applause.
Particularly noteworthy is the performance of the only fifteen-year-old Maximilian Pfister, who earned plenty of applause in the role of Nick Bottom. The sensitive performance of Lara Steiner and Emma Strohmeyer as Hermia and Helena elicited some tears in the eyes of the spectators.
There will be an English school theatre at the International School in Kufstein again next year.
