Erkundung der katalonischen Metropole

11AB´s trip to Barcelona

After three years of learning Spanish, 35 students and three teachers finally set off on our long-awaited trip to Barcelona. As expected, all students were always punctual, behaved extremely well and were, of course, never caught breaking any rules. Their excellent behaviour impressed the teachers so much that they are already looking forward to next year’s trip.

We explored Barcelona on foot and by bike, visited the breathtaking Sagrada Família, the cathedral and other historic landmarks, and enjoyed the colourful Parc Güell. A gondola ride gave us spectacular views over the city, while a flamenco performance and salsa dancing class allowed us to experience Spanish music and dance—some more successfully than others.

Every morning began with Spanish lessons, including a visit to a local market where we could practise our skills. Although three years of Spanish had prepared us well, a few people suddenly discovered that ordering at a market was slightly harder than expected. We also enjoyed delicious tapas and watched World Cup matches in an unforgettable atmosphere. Throughout the trip, the Teams chat kept everyone informed and, more importantly, constantly giggling. Barcelona gave us incredible experiences, many inside jokes and memories we will never forget.
